Postdoc Appreciation Week (PAW) is an annual celebration of the contributions and achievements of postdoctoral researchers around the world. Inspired by the celebration of the Postdoc Appreciation Week in the USA and the UK, the PAW Germany coordination team is inviting researchers and research institutions, postdoc coordinators and research administrators all over Germany to join in creating a special program, events and a social media campaign to honor the incredible work of postdocs. PAW is a celebratory week that offers the opportunity to:

• Provide attention, visibility and support for postdocs
• Support & highlight existing Postdoc Networks & Services
• Better connect with each other
• Integrate international postdocs.

PAW 2026 is already in the making, with a focus on more events on breaking into non-academic careers and guidance on leveraging transferable skills from academia.
