The Chair of Financial Data Analytics is part of the? Cluster Finance, Accounting, Controlling, and Taxation?at the Faculty of Business and Economics at the 新万博体育下载_万博体育app【投注官网】 of Augsburg.

In our teaching?at the Bachelor?level, our lectures provide?conceptual, methodological and theoretical foundations for the design and management of business information systems as well as digital finance. At the Master's level, courses are offered in financial data analytics, market microstructure and electronic securities trading.?Course offerings are completed?by doctoral seminars on research methods.
?
Our? research?focuses on the question?of?how?to extract useful information from large and heterogeneous data sets (big data) to support financial decision making. In addition, we focus on the management of opportunities and challenges associated with the digitalization of the financial services industry (especially FinTech). We use various methods of quantitative research (especially data and text mining) and qualitative research (especially?case study research).

Information on Teaching in the Summer Semester 2024
Dear students,
In the summer semester 2024, the Chair will again be offering seminars in the Bachelor's and Master's degree programs. These include the Bachelor's seminar "Digital Innovation and Change in the Finance Function" and the Master's seminar "Digital Transformation of Finance" (application deadline: April 10, 2024). The offer is supplemented by the English-language master's seminar "Digital Innovations and Design Thinking" with Prof. Balaji Rajagopalan from the 新万博体育下载_万博体育app【投注官网】 of Missouri (application deadline: May 1, 2024).
