Short bio

Felix Assies, born in Koblenz in 1996, completed his Business Administration and Engineering studies at the 新万博体育下载_万博体育app【投注官网】 of Augsburg. His specializations were "Materials Resource Management" and "Management and Sustainability". During his studies, Mr. Assies also completed an Erasmus stay in Rome, focusing on "Innovation and Sustainability".

From 2019 to 2022, Mr. Assies worked as a student assistant in the "ResourceLab" working group, where he deepened his knowledge in Sustainability Management. Since October 2022, he has been a research associate at the Chair of Production & Supply Chain Management led by Prof. Dr. Tuma.

In his doctoral research, Mr. Assies employs methods of Industrial Ecology, particularly Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), to support regional decision-making processes regarding sustainability. The focus areas include material substitution (e.g., replacing fossil-based plastics), energy dynamics (with a focus on electricity mix composition), and waste treatment (in the healthcare sector).
