Curriculum Vitae

Julia T. Fuchs studied law at the Ludwig Maximilian 新万博体育下载_万博体育app【投注官网】 of Munich. During her studies, she specialized in the legal fields of intellectual property, competition and media law. She completed her specialization seminar in patent law at the Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition under Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Reto M. Hilty. Her seminar paper dealt with the controversial issue of the required scope of patent protection for biotechnological inventions.

?

After graduating from her studies, Julia Fuchs completed her legal clerkship at the Higher Regional Court of Munich. As part of her legal clerkship, she worked at the Regional Court Munich I, the public prosecutor's office Munich I and the District of Upper Bavaria.

?

Most recently, she was able to expand her expertise in legal representation at the international commercial law firm Fieldfisher. During and after her legal clerkship, she worked in the practice groups “Privacy and Tech”, “Life Sciences Regulatory” and “Commercial Intellectual Property” in Munich and London. Due to her interest in the English legal system, she dedicated herself to qualifying as a lawyer in England and Wales after her legal clerkship.

?

Since July 2023, she has been conducting research in the field of medical device law and intellectual property as a doctoral student of Prof. Dr. Ulrich M. Gassner, Mag. rer. publ., M. Jur. (Oxon.). Since October 2023, she has been supporting him in advising the consortium of the BMBF-funded project "PriBizz - Web Analytics Business Models for Privacy-by-Design and the Support of Informational Self-Determination of Citizens" on data protection law. As part of this work, she is a research assistant at the chair of the project coordinator Prof. Dr. Daniel J. Veit.
