Exceptions:

In general, all students must pay two semester fees: the student contribution fee to Studierendenwerk and the semester transport ticket fee. However, there are some exceptions to the payment of each fee, as outlined below.

?

Students who are enrolled at more than one Bavarian higher education institution and

  1. for whom more than one Studierendenwerk is responsible are only liable for paying the Studierendenwerk fee to the Studierendenwerk responsible at the higher education institution in which they were first enrolled ( Art. 121 Para. 4 Sentence 2 Bavarian Higher Education Innovation Act).
  2. for whom their own Studierendenwerk is responsible must pay the Studierendenwerk fee at the higher education institution at which they were first enrolled. This also applies to the additional fee for the semester transport ticket. If this fee is only payable to the higher education institution at which the second enrolment took place, only the semester transport ticket fee is payable to this higher education institution.

This means that students who:

  • ... are enrolled at both the Augsburg ÐÂÍò²©ÌåÓýÏÂÔØ_Íò²©ÌåÓýapp¡¾Í¶×¢¹ÙÍø¡¿ of Applied Sciences and the ÐÂÍò²©ÌåÓýÏÂÔØ_Íò²©ÌåÓýapp¡¾Í¶×¢¹ÙÍø¡¿ of Augsburg must pay the Studierendenwerk fee and the semester transport ticket fee to the university where their first enrolment took place.
  • ... are enrolled at another higher education institution in Bavaria and at the ÐÂÍò²©ÌåÓýÏÂÔØ_Íò²©ÌåÓýapp¡¾Í¶×¢¹ÙÍø¡¿ of Augsburg only pay the semester transport ticket fee to the ÐÂÍò²©ÌåÓýÏÂÔØ_Íò²©ÌåÓýapp¡¾Í¶×¢¹ÙÍø¡¿ of Augsburg if they have already paid the Studierendenwerk fee to the other Bavarian higher education institution. Therefore, please always pay the Studierendenwerk fee to the higher education institution at which you were first enrolled. This is absolutely necessary if you are still enrolled at a higher education institution in Munich.
  • ... are enrolled in a joint degree programme due to a partnership agreement between two higher education institutions, must pay both fees to the higher education institution whose enrolment regulations they are subject to (recipient higher education institution).
The ÐÂÍò²©ÌåÓýÏÂÔØ_Íò²©ÌåÓýapp¡¾Í¶×¢¹ÙÍø¡¿ of Augsburg is the recipient university for the following master¡¯s degree programmes: Software Engineering, Intellectual Property and Competition Law.
