A: General information

Right to participate?

Participation in the events is only possible with prior binding registration.
Enrolled students and doctoral candidates at the 新万博体育下载_万博体育app【投注官网】 of Augsburg are eligible to participate.
Eligibility must be verified by presenting a student ID card or proof of enrolment.

Registration

Registration is generally binding.

Registration for individual events is usually done online via Digicampus. Please note the registration procedures for each individual event.

After registering online for an event, your status in Digicampus will initially be ‘waiting list’ or ‘provisionally accepted’. Admission is based on the selection criteria specified in the individual course descriptions in Digicampus. If the course is fee-based, you will initially be assigned the status ‘reader’.

You will be informed via Digicampus when you have been finally admitted to a course. Your status will then be upgraded to ‘student’.

Only with the status ‘student’ do you have a guaranteed place in the course and are you finally admitted to the corresponding course!

The status ‘provisionally accepted’ or ‘reader’ does NOT yet entitle you to participate in a course.

Depending on the course, it may be possible to move up the waiting list if you are on it.

Please note the information on the target group or fields of study for each course, as well as the registration procedures (there may be a multi-stage registration process and different conditions of participation in the respective phases).

Note: For courses that are subject to a fee, please refer to Section B of the conditions of participation.

By registering, participants accept the Career Service's terms and conditions of participation.

Compulsory attendance
All Career Service events are face-to-face events with compulsory attendance.
If you are unable to attend for a valid reason, you must cancel your registration with the Career Service at least one week before the event begins. This is fair and important, as the number of places at each event is limited. By cancelling your registration in good time, you give students on the waiting list the opportunity to take your place.
In the event of unexcused absence or cancellation without a valid reason, we reserve the right to exclude you from admission in subsequent semesters..

Implementation
The events are subject to a minimum number of participants (usually 8 people). If this number is not reached one week before the event, the event will be cancelled or postponed (notification will be sent by email).
For events that are subject to a fee, an alternative participation option will be offered or the costs will be refunded. This also applies in the event of short-term cancellation of the event due to the lecturer being unable to attend.

Conditions for withdrawal and exclusion
Withdrawal from events is possible for valid reasons relating to the minimum number of participants by notifying the Career Service no later than two weeks before the start of the event.
- Please notify us immediately if you are unable to attend so that students on the waiting list can be given the opportunity to take your place. This is the only way to ensure that our event programme is filled to capacity.
- Withdrawal without valid reason does not release you from your obligation to pay after invoicing.
- Fees already paid for fee-based events can only be refunded by the 新万博体育下载_万博体育app【投注官网】 of Augsburg in exceptional cases (contagious infection (including coronavirus), surgery, accident, death) and with proof.
- Registered course participants who have not cancelled in time are considered to be bindingly registered. Anyone who is absent without excuse or does not attend the event without good reason, or who only announces their absence one or two days in advance, is considered to have not attended. In the interests of all reliable participants, we reserve the right to exclude course participants who do not attend without excuse from subsequent events! Therefore, please check carefully whether you are available on the specified date and can attend the event!

Certificate of participation
As proof of participation in the event, the Career Service will issue a certificate of attendance documenting the duration of the event and the topics covered. The prerequisite is that you were regularly present (attendance list!).

B: Events subject to a fee

Event costs
A participation fee is charged for attending events that are subject to a fee. Please refer to the relevant event description and the associated registration procedure in Digicampus (e.g. soft skills courses) for details of the participation fee.

Payment

If you are accepted for a fee-based event, you will receive an email from Career Services asking you to confirm your participation. By confirming your participation in writing, you accept Career Services' terms and conditions and agree to pay the invoice. Only after this confirmation will you receive the invoice by email, which must then be paid in any case. Withdrawal is no longer possible once the invoice has been issued, and the participation fee must be transferred within the specified payment period.
Therefore, please check carefully whether you are available on the specified date and can attend the event!

• Payment of the participation fee shall be made exclusively by bank transfer to the Staatsoberkasse Bayern
• It is essential to provide the relevant invoice number and the title of the event.

Reimbursement

Fees already paid for chargeable events can only be refunded by the 新万博体育下载_万博体育app【投注官网】 of Augsburg in exceptional cases (contagious infection (including coronavirus), surgery, accident, death in the family) and with proof. Withdrawal outside of these cases does not release you from your obligation to pay after invoicing.

Paid events offered by external providers

For paid events offered by external providers (such as business studies for humanities students), the terms and conditions of participation of the respective provider apply.
