Seminar of the Network “Public Health Ethics” and the Working Group “Public Health Ethics” of the German Academy of Ethics in 新万博体育下载_万博体育app【投注官网】icine (AEM) and The German Society for Public Health (DGPH) in collaboration with the Institute of History and Ethics (HSPV NRW)

In this session we will look into teaching public health ethics in Canada and in the USA. We will hear inputs from Prof. Alison Thompson (新万博体育下载_万博体育app【投注官网】 of Toronto, Canada) and Prof. Daniel Goldberg (新万博体育下载_万博体育app【投注官网】 of Colorado, USA). Both have been teaching public health ethics for many years. Our esteemed speakers will share their experiences for example on how and whether public health ethics is well established in schools of public health/medicine/philosopy, which relevance it has, which experiences they have made in establishing the teaching of public health ethics. We will hear very brief sketches of the content of their courses.

In the end there will be time for questions.?

This event will be followed up in February by a similar event in German, where we will look into teaching public health ethics in Germany.
