The Campus Card serves as evidence of your student status on campus as well as to external bodies. Please ensure that your Campus Card is validated for the current semester.

Library card

The Campus Card also serves as a library card. Your library user number is saved on the chip and printed on the card.

Following a once off personal visit to the Augsburg ÐÂÍò²©ÌåÓýÏÂÔØ_Íò²©ÌåÓýapp¡¾Í¶×¢¹ÙÍø¡¿ of Applied Sciences library, you can use the Campus Card to borrow out books there in accordance with the local reader regulation.

Making personal payments

The Campus Card can be used for making payments at the ÐÂÍò²©ÌåÓýÏÂÔØ_Íò²©ÌåÓýapp¡¾Í¶×¢¹ÙÍø¡¿ of Augsburg and at the Augsburg ÐÂÍò²©ÌåÓýÏÂÔØ_Íò²©ÌåÓýapp¡¾Í¶×¢¹ÙÍø¡¿ of Applied Sciences. For example, it can be used to pay for food and drinks at the Mensa and other university cafeterias and bars run by Studierendenwerk. It can also be used to copy and scan on both campuses (e.g., using ¡°Follow-Me-Drucken¡± at the ÐÂÍò²©ÌåÓýÏÂÔØ_Íò²©ÌåÓýapp¡¾Í¶×¢¹ÙÍø¡¿ of Augsburg campus).

If you want to use the electronic payment function, you have to first visit a credit loading machine (Aufwerter) to activate it. Here, you have to accept the user conditions for the payment function. To do this, hold the card up against the card reader on the machine and follow the instructions on the display. Following this, you can use the machine to top up your card. You can load up to €150 onto the card and pay with either cash or bank card. Up to €50 can be paid out again through one of the redeemer machines (R¨¹ckzahler).

The semester ticket for local public transport

The Campus Card also serves as a public transport ticket for the AVV. A valid student ID entitles the holder to free travel on regional and Augsburg city public transport, e.g., AVV Regionalbus, Regionalbahn (only local trains, 2nd class) and buses and trams run by the Augsburger Vekehrsgesellschaft mbH (AVG) and the Gersthofer Verkehrgessschaft mbH (GVG) in zones 10 and 20. The Campus Card is also valid for travel on night buses, where the same transport conditions apply.

Please note: The semester ticket is currently valid only until the city boundary in K?nigsbrunn. For further travel in K?nigsbrunn, a ticket needs to be purchased.

Please note: The semester ticket is only valid during the validity period printed on the validation strip of your Campus Card. The validity period on the card must be complete and legible. If your Campus Card does not contain a photo, it is only valid if presented with an official photo ID.

Information on the Deutschlandticket: Students are currently entitled to purchase a discounted Deutschlandticket, which supplements the semester ticket. Further information can be found on the AVV website for students with a Campus Card.

Eligibility to park in Parkdeck Nord (PI)

Only students and employees of the ÐÂÍò²©ÌåÓýÏÂÔØ_Íò²©ÌåÓýapp¡¾Í¶×¢¹ÙÍø¡¿ of Augsburg are entitled to park in Parkdeck Nord (P1) on Hannah-Arendt Str. The Campus Card is required for entry into both levels of the carpark.
