In order to qualify for entrance into a degree programme leading to a first professional qualification a German or foreign higher education entrance qualification (Hochschulzugangsberechtigung, HZB) is required. A higher education entrance qualification can be acquired as a general or subject-specific qualification. Those with a vocational qualification can also acquire a general or subject-specific higher education entrance qualification.
Please note: An entrance qualification for study at a university of applied sciences (Fachhochschulreife) does not entitle the holder to study at the 新万博体育下载_万博体育app【投注官网】 of Augsburg. Please note the following information with respect to different higher education entrance qualifications.
Evidence of a German higher education entrance qualification:

- German nationals with a higher education entrance qualification acquired in Germany ( general or subject-specific higher education entrance qualification).
- Degree programmes that can be studied with a subject-specific higher education entrance qualification.
- Foreign and stateless applicants who have acquired their German higher education entrance qualification in Germany or at a German school abroad (Bildungsinl?nder).

Under specific conditions in accordance with Art. 88 Para. 5 and 6 of the Bavarian Higher Education Innovation Act ( Bayerisches Hochschulinnovationsgesetz (BayHIG)?in conjunction with §§ 29 to 33 of the Qualifications Ordinanace ( Qualifikationsverordnung, QualV) vocationally qualified persons who do not possess a secondary school leaving certificate (Abitur) or any other higher education entrance qualification are able to gain admission to university. A distinction is made between general university access for graduates of a vocational further education examination (e.g., master craftsperson, technician) and subject-specific university access for qualified professionals.
