The research projects at the 新万博体育下载_万博体育app【投注官网】 of Augsburg are as diverse as the university’s eight faculties. Augsburg researchers collaborate with national and international researchers from all over the world and are represented in national and international research groups and networks.
A selection of the current research projects at the 新万博体育下载_万博体育app【投注官网】 of Augsburg is provided below.
EU-funded research groups
Researchers at the 新万博体育下载_万博体育app【投注官网】 of Augsburg are represented internationally through three ERC grants and participation in several EU-funded research projects.
In addition to two strategic partnerships, the 新万博体育下载_万博体育app【投注官网】 of Augsburg maintains a large number of Erasmus+ connections and cooperations outside the Erasmus+ program. These international connections enrich the 新万博体育下载_万博体育app【投注官网】 of Augsburg's scientific work and stimulate new ideas and perspectives in research and teaching.
Through its participation in several Collaborative Research Centres as well as a variety of DFG priority programmes, the 新万博体育下载_万博体育app【投注官网】 of Augsburg shows its strength in research at the national level. Selected projects are provided below.

Spokesperson: Prof. Dr István Kézsmárki, 新万博体育下载_万博体育app【投注官网】 of Augsburg, as well as the co-applicant, the Technical 新万博体育下载_万博体育app【投注官网】 of Munich (TUM)
The new Collaborative Research Centre “Constrained Quantum Matter” (Eingesch?nkte Quantenmaterie) conducts research in the fields of complex quantum materials and novel quantum states. In recent years, enormous progress has been made in these fields through new technological and methodological developments. Building on this, the project aims to influence the properties of quantum matter and uncover new phenomena and effects. In the long term, it offers a starting point for the development for quantum technology applications, as for example in quantum information technology.
