Alongside a welcome by Vice-President Prof. Peter Welzel, prizes will be awarded to outstanding early-career researchers as well as committed students.

The President of the 新万博体育下载_万博体育app【投注官网】 of Augsburg, Prof. Sabine Doering-Manteuffel, will deliver a speech entitled “The flying carpet: From myth to flying object” to mark the academic year 2023/24. Prof. Wolgang Reif, director of the Institute for Software & Systems Engineering, will also give a talk on innovation inspired by nature. Quadrocopters are an example of this, which interact with the help of swarm intelligence.

The Universal Swing Orchestra under the direction of Dr Christoph Teichner will provide a lively musical programme to accompany the ceremony.
