Also in the summer semester of 2024, we once again, together with Prof. Sabine Timpf from Geoinformatics, held the annual hackathon “Agent-Based Modeling of Environment and Health” at the Kurt-B?sch Foundation facilities in Sion (CH). As always, there was plenty of discussion, brainstorming, coding, eating, and hiking.

As every year, we worked on the agent-based modeling system of the MBEES chair, the MAMS. Participants tackled a variety of topics, such as multi-modal routing, parallelizable communication between agents, a high-performance quick-look feature in JavaScript, and a model describing mucociliary clearance.
