Welcome to the Environmental Economics Lab
We design, analyze and test strategies for sustainable and resilient development. Our work revolves around socio-ecological systems under pressure. A particular emphasis is on groups decisions under strategic and natural uncertainty. We use economic experiments, theory and statistical analysis, integrate teaching and interdisciplinary research, and connect theory with practical advice.

Research Stay at the Universidad de Talca in Chile
From 15 to 30 January 2026, Dr. Patrick Hoffmann conducted a research stay at the Universidad de Talca in Chile. Hosted by Dr. Carlos Bopp, the visit strengthened collaboration on drought adaptation in irrigation communities and included a seminar presentation on psychological ownership in water governance.
