At the conference, a South African representative first explained his or her view of a particular legal problem, after which an Augsburg jurist made a comparison with German law. The areas of law dealt with, ranged from international commercial and financial law, international law, media law and constitutional law to social and labour law.

After many successful discussions, the researchers involved were able to discuss open questions at joint social events, and the guests were also offered a guided tour of the city to give them an understanding not only of German law, but also of Augsburg.

The results of the conference will be published in a conference volume.
